The Greek Symposium & Ancient Greek Gastronomy Experience Dinner
The Ancient Greek Symposium dinner is the revival of an ancient ritual dining, where you can enjoy it like an Ancient Greek. Tasting and artistic performances offered in the Symposia, while you are enjoying recipes mentioned since the 5th century ancient writings. A unique evening with gourmet dishes from antiquity and ancient varieties of wines are served beside the decoration atmosphere. Optional, you can ask for Ancient Greek themed entertainments…such as ancient Greek dance or ancient Greek live music.
Ancient Greek & traditional gastronomy, is always a challenge of a culinary trip down ancient times. Dietary habits through the ages, wine tasting and cooking art in itself, unravel simultaneously with knowledge and participation.
Enjoy a meal (lunch or a dinner) with ancient Greek recipes for private in our thematic venue “Archaeon Gastronomia” (only for private dining) – with a minimum of 6 persons required

Our cuisine has an outstanding style and an atmosphere quite unusual from the ordinary.
Leading priority focuses on the revival of the Ancient Greek Cuisine guides people through healthy nutritional dietary habits of our ancestors, who led the way to a civilized society.
The food is prepared strictly on the basis of ancient scripts between 2500 BC – 500 BC and some others traditional newest recipes, which are known from cooking writings and books.
All dishes are modified as to suit the tastes of contemporary people.
A unique and unusual mystic cuisine with ingredients such as grain, honey, milk, goat’s cheese, vegetables, sea food and spices, unique sweet and sour dishes, healthy desserts with honey like “Plakountopoukon Prosegisis” (the ancient…cheesecake)
As a welcome drink, “Oenomelo” wine or the non alcohol «Orchid» well known at ancient symposiums is always offered as an aperitif….
The Archaeon Gastronomia is a dining concept, located in Athens Center, close to the old town, in a private space for a min. of 6 persons.
